I believe therapy is about honoring your humanity and creating a
meaningful life.
YOUNG ADULTS | ANXIETY | HOLISTIC THERAPY
Do you feel like you often get caught in a stressful loop of overthinking, self criticism and unhelpful perfectionism? You’re on automatic pilot and your body is giving you hints and clues that you're not doing well, but you don't know what to do about it. You're having a hard time whether it's at school, work or relationships, but you don't know how to get off this rollercoaster to make things better.
You're struggling to take better care of yourself and might even want to connect with your body’s wisdom, but you’re not sure what that looks like or where to start. Instead you find yourself doom-scrolling social media, which gives you a thousand ideas of what's “wrong with you” and what you "should be doing", but you can't discern what’s best for you. You feel stuck and overwhelmed but you're ready to start improving your relationship with yourself and building a better life.
You're ready to get started
Hey, I see you, doing your best...trying to have it all, doing it all, but still feeling like you're falling short. You have a genuine desire to dig deeper and understand the unhelpful patterns of over-doing and over-working so you can start to feel more grounded and calm.
You want to get clarity of what’s going on and how to do things differently in your real life. You're ready to give yourself permission to prioritize your own mental health, cultivate healthier coping skills, and improve your relationship with family and friends.
Doing so doesn’t have to require endless striving and an infinite to do list. Together we can dive into whatever challenges you’re facing and find practical ways to move through them. With willingness and curiosity, we can unpack the patterns that are not serving you, cultivate different resources and pivot towards what matters.
My therapeutic style
My holistic therapeutic style is rooted in being unapologetically human and helping clients tap into their mind-body connection so they can better understand themselves. You will see me balance being real and grounded, with a healthy dose of optimism, free from toxic positivity. In our sessions, you'll have a safe space where you can learn to navigate your thoughts, feelings and lived experience.
Therapy isn't just the work we do during our sessions, but it's also about you being able to take our work into the real world. We'll engage in a collaborative effort to develop practical skills and resources for you to make the changes you want, in a way that is flexible and honors your personal rhythm.
YOU'RE IN THE RIGHT SPOT.
My goal is to support you in getting to know yourself better so that you can move towards what you care most about in life.
A FEW THINGS ABOUT ME:
-
I’m a bit introverted. As much as I love to connect with others, I deeply enjoy retreating to a cozy, quiet space, where I can read books and listen to music.
-
In college, I was curious about so many things that I had a hard time choosing “what to do”. It’s taken me years to learn to see that curiosity as a strength that can enrich my life. I hope we can all learn to embrace ourselves and others as multidimensional beings with diverse interests, passions and ways of being.
-
I’ve been practicing yoga and meditation for almost 10 years. They’ve changed my life, but, like most people, I have a hard time being consistent. I’m learning to be flexible with myself and trust that those resources are always there when needed, even if I don’t use them daily.
